New Zantac suit filed in state court in Los Angeles

More than 77,000 people have sued GlaxoSmithKline in Delaware state court with the same allegation. And some 144 Zantac cases are consolidated in Alameda County.

Allegations that the popular over-the-counter heartburn medication Zantac causes cancer were filed against its creator and manufacturing partners in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The 54-page complaint filed Tuesday by John A. Bruegger, a partner with Parafinczuk Wolf, states that his client, Kamar Brown, took Zantac from April 2015 to July 2017, when he was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He says that he would not have taken the medicat...
