Meta denies discovery failure in embedded pixel case
At the heart of the litigation is Meta’s pixel technology, a piece of code that other companies attach to their URL as an advertising tool to measure the effectiveness of advertising by understanding the actions people take on a website.




The plaintiff’s attorneys in a proposed privacy class action against Meta Platforms Inc. told a Santa Clara County judge that the tech giant deleted relevant documents that predated the lawsuit and refuses to turn over others.
