Closing arguments set for J&J outlier talc trial
The path to trial was paved by an April decision from U.S. District Judge Michael Kaplan who allowed the plaintiff to pursue his personal injury claims despite the company’s pending bankruptcy proceedings and a proposed $8.9 billion settlement aimed at remedying its alleged failure to warn or protect consumers from dangerous asbestos exposure through its use of talcum powder.
