Lassen County judge testifies that he carried a gun to chambers because he feared his colleague

Lassen County Presiding Judge Mark R. Nareau spoke in Sacramento County Superior Court on the second day of the Commission on Judicial Performance trial of Judge Tony R. Mallery.

A Lassen County Superior Court judge testified Tuesday that he was so alarmed by a colleague's behavior he began bringing a gun to work.

Presiding Judge Mark R. Nareau spoke in Sacramento County Superior Court on the second day of the Commission on Judicial Performance trial of Judge Tony R. Mallery. Mallery is facing 21 charges, largely over allegations he made sexist, racist and threatening comments.
