Ex-Twitter workers sue for $500M in severance under ERISA

The proposed class action, filed in federal court in San Francisco, claims that the company's severance plan operated as an "employee welfare benefit plan" that created fiduciary responsibilities for Elon Musk, Twitter, and the new parent company, X Corp, when he took over.

A group of former Twitter Inc. employees filed a $500 million lawsuit Wednesday, accusing the company of failing to pay out the severance packages promised to them before Elon Musk's purchase of the company.
