Judge reconsiders tossing lawsuit over natural gas plant
In his tentative, Los Angeles Judge Curtis A. Kin found that an agreement between Glendale and Los Angeles stipulated that the former should be able to meet contingency energy reserve requirements to cover an outage of its largest and second largest energy sources. But he took the Sierra Club’s arguments under submission.




Attorneys representing the Sierra Club successfully argued against the dismissal of their case against the city of Glendale regarding plans to build a new natural gas plant.
Byron J. Chan of Earthjustice in Los Angeles, who represents the Sierra Club, argued against a tentative ruling issued earlier Thursday by Judge Curtis A. Kin indicating an intent to dismiss the case.
