A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel on Friday rejected the Federal Trade Commission’s bid for a temporary pause to block Microsoft Corp. from acquiring Santa Monica-based Activision Blizzard Inc., which makes the popular “Call of Duty” game.
The ruling leaves British antitrust authorities as the only holdup to the $69 billion Microsoft-Activision combination, which the companies hope to close on Tuesday.
