Litigation over the construction of 17 new oil and gas wells in Los Angeles and Kern counties will halt as an Alameda County judge approves a settlement between the Center for Biological Diversity and the California Geologic Energy Management Division, or CalGEM.
The agreement and dismissal of the lawsuit was announced Monday after the state regulator agency withdrew approvals for the wells in May.
