R&B singer Smokey Robinson is expected to defend in federal court next month breach of contract allegations by his former manager, who claims he is entitled to 10% of the musician’s earnings since 2013.
During a pretrial conference Monday in Los Angeles, U.S. District Judge Otis D. Wright II stressed to the attorneys that the jury instructions and verdict form needed to be “nailed down” before the trial starts on Aug. 8.
