Taco Tuesdays for everyone! Restaurant abandons its trademark

“We’re lovers, not fighters,” the president of Taco John’s said in a statement meant to call a truce to litigation filed by other taco chains.

The phrase “Taco Tuesday” is no longer trademarked, according to Taco John’s, the Wyoming restaurant chain that held that mark since 1989.

The announcement came as Taco John’s faced an onslaught of challenges from restaurant chains large and small across the nation.
