Researcher who says he’s a whistleblower can sue Google

Google did not show that the plaintiff’s claims, which differed between his original and amended complaints, were made in bad faith, Santa Clara County Judge Frederick Chung said in a tentative ruling.

A Santa Clara County judge denied on Thursday Google’s attempt to toss a wrongful termination lawsuit by a former senior researcher who claims he was fired for whistle-blowing about potentially fraudulent statements regarding the company’s AI-driven chip design technique.
