CPUC head’s meetings with utilities not protected, judge rules

With Friday’s ruling, Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff found that the requested meeting invitations do not constitute correspondence.

A Los Angeles judge granted a writ of mandate on Friday compelling the state to turn over information on meetings between the president of the California Public Utilities Commission and utility interests ahead of a proposal that the Energy and Policy Institute says could deter consumers from investing in solar energy.
