Humane Society asks to join state’s defense of exotic skins import ban

“Granting applicants ‘full party’ status in this case … would only serve to delay the proceedings, unnecessarily complicate the factual record, and waste judicial resources,” wrote attorneys from Nossaman and Kelley Drye & Warren for Boot Barn Inc.

The Humane Society of the United States is seeking the right to defend California’s ban on importing exotic animal skins, a law it helped pass, but the Western wear company plaintiff objects.
