San Diego agrees to pay $4.8M over deadly crosswalk near hospital
Approximately one year before the collision that killed Jaime Leonen and injured Joseph “Jorge” Lopez, a San Diego police officer warned city officials of the dangers of the roadway in that area.




The City of San Diego agreed to pay $4.8 million to settle a lawsuit filed by the families of two men who were struck by a vehicle crossing a stretch of road near Sharp Mary Birch Hospital, severely injuring one and killing another.
