Buckle up for bumpy ride, 9th Circuit meeting is told

Lisa S. Blatt, chair of Williams & Connolly LLP’s Supreme Court and Appellate Practice, told the annual meeting of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that recent Supreme Court decisions left many unanswered questions.

PORTLAND, Oregon — A prominent appellate litigator predicted Monday that several recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions will have major reverberations, including its decision barring affirmative action at universities and allowing religious freedom claims to be made against employers.
