Challenge filed to Inglewood’s health care worker ordinance
Representing the California Hospital Association, a not-for-profit trade organization based in Sacramento, Matthew J. Silveira at Jones Day wrote in the complaint that Measure HC “is nothing more than a union-promoted private interest boon cloaked in public interest sentiment.”




The City of Inglewood was sued in federal court over an ordinance taking effect next year that would raise the minimum wage for health care workers to $25 per hour. Inglewood voters passed Measure HC last November.
The city attorney’s office did not respond to an inquiry for comment Tuesday.
