Girardi long-term memory impaired but he’s mentally competent, government expert testifies

A neuropsychologist testified that disbarred and federally indicted attorney Thomas V. Girardi was aware of what happened to his law firm a year after his doctor diagnosed him with Alzheimer’s, but said later he didn’t remember.

“He never repeated himself. He never stumbled,” a neuropsychologist testified about disbarred attorney Thomas V. Girardi on Wednesday in a hearing to determine if he is competent to stand trial on federal charges of stealing $15 million from clients.
