Pac-12 seeks dismissal of defamation claim by ex-CFO

Superior Court Judge Richard B. Ulmer initially denied the PAC-12’s motion in his tentative ruling but chose not to adopt it following oral arguments. He took the matter under submission and told the parties that he would issue an order later.

The PAC-12 Conference asked a San Francisco judge to strike a defamation claim brought by its former chief financial officer, who says he was scapegoated for a $50 million accounting error in the conference’s television deal with Comcast Cable Communications.
