DNA test provider resolves deceptive marketing claims

CRI Genetics in El Segundo falsely represented to consumers that its DNA tests offered the most accurate and detailed reports on the market, when it could not have known this, the FTC wrote in its complaint.

A California DNA testing provider agreed to pay $700,000 to resolve claims that it engaged in deceptive marketing, the state and Federal Trade Commission announced.
