Meta sues FTC over reopened proceedings on child data use

“Meta challenges the constitutionality of five structural characteristics of the commission that render the FTC proceedings unconstitutional,” wrote James P. Rouhandeh, the head of Davis Polk’s litigation department.

Meta Platforms Inc. sued the Federal Trade Commission over the terms of a $5 billion consent order related to child data use, claiming the agency flouted constitutional guidelines when reopening proceedings.
