Trial begins against filmmakers over facial motion technology

The filmmakers claim that DD3 did not infringe any of Rearden’s copyright and are in no way vicariously liable for any infringement even if DD3 is found to have committed wrongdoing.

The Walt Disney Company, 20th Century Fox Film Corporation and Paramount Pictures Corporation begin their jury trial defense Wednesday against claims that they infringed on the copyright of a company that developed facial motion capture technology.
