Attorney who bribed FBI agent sentenced to 6 months in prison

Edgar Sargsyan, whose law license is now suspended, told prosecutors that he paid another attorney to assume his identity and take the bar exam for him.

A suspended Beverly Hills attorney who played a key role in prosecutors’ bribery investigation against a former FBI agent was sentenced to six months in federal prison and six months of home confinement.

Edgar Sargsyan was sentenced on Monday by U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner in Los Angeles. The defendant pleaded guilty to five felonies related to credit card fraud in 2020 and was the government’s main witness during the trial again...
