Massive litigation planned over Merced County floods
The plaintiffs say Merced County and the Department of Fish and Wildlife failed to properly maintain infrastructure that would have mitigated the flood damage from last winter’s 43-day rainstorm.
The first of many planned liability lawsuits was filed against Merced County and the state on behalf of some 750 residents who suffered damage from major Central Valley floods last winter.
