Lloyd’s accuses UC system of failing to protect data

Lloyd’s of London says the UC Regents didn’t set up protections for their data required by an insurance policy to cover breaches.

Lloyd’s of London is preparing a demurrer to a lawsuit by the Regents of the University of California over coverage for a data breach, attorneys told a Los Angeles County judge Monday, saying the university did not keep its promise to protect its systems.
