Rearden rests facial motion capture copyright case against Disney

Rearden accused Disney and other movie makers of partnering with another company, Digital Domain 3.0 (DD3), which a court found to have inappropriately used motion capture assets owned by Rearden.

Rearden LLC, which accused The Walt Disney Co. of infringing its copyright of facial motion capture technology, rested its case Wednesday in federal court in San Francisco.
