Federal judge irked by attempt to fight constitutionality of law soon to be repealed
If the state is allowed to avoid an “adverse ruling” by “voluntary cessation” of a law that attempted to restrict doctors’ free speech, the state is liable to create new harms by passing similar unconstitutional laws in the future, said attorneys with the New Civil Liberties Alliance.
