Google's deal with states was delayed by Epic trial
Epic criticized the settlement Google and the states. The company called it a one-time payout before trial with no true relief for consumers or developers, and pointed out the $700 million settlement fund was a much lower figure than the $10.5 billion in damages the states initially sought.




Three months after they agreed to settle, Google LLC and state attorneys general revealed the terms of their confidential agreement, which resolved claims that Google violated antitrust laws by creating a monopoly for the Android app market using its Play Store and Google Play Billing services.
