Several plaintiffs allege abuse by Antioch police officers

“In those text threads, officers bragged about using excessive force and beating arrest subjects so severely that the officers themselves hurt their hands and feet,” plaintiffs’ attorney Ben Nisenbaum of Burris, Nisenbaum, Burry, & Lacey LLP wrote.

The City of Antioch Police Department and two dozen current and former officers were accused of race discrimination, false imprisonment, assault, abuse of power, and other civil rights violations in a lawsuit filed by seven people who say they were victimized.
