Democratic politicians increasingly hostile to judges over homeless cases

On homelessness, the gap between Democratic elected officials across California and judges appointed by Democratic presidents has widened to a chasm.

San Francisco Mayor London Breed stood among protesters outside the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals courthouse in July, complaining through a bullhorn about the decisions of a judge “who doesn’t even live here.”

Gov. Gavin Newsom said in an interview in August that he considered putting the phone number of a judge on a billboard because he was so outraged by a decision and called on higher courts to do something about it.
