State can enforce ban on guns in ‘sensitive places’

C.D. “Chuck” Michel, who represents the plaintiffs challenging the law, said Tuesday that his clients would file a motion seeking expedited review from a 9th Circuit merits panel this week.

A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel has allowed a California law that bans concealed firearms from a variety of “sensitive places” – including parks, playgrounds and public transit – to go into effect pending appeal.
