Panel upholds $23.3M award to attorney for retaliation

A 2nd District Court of Appeal panel upheld a $24.3 million award for an attorney who said he was fired for planning to give a deposition on pay disparities for women attorneys at Farmers Insurance.
The panel held that Thousand Oaks attorney Andrew Rudnicki did not obtain the award through violating attorney-client privilege, as claimed by the insurance company.
