Mixed pet records led to disease, deaths, lawsuit claims

An algorithm used by IDEXX Labs, which works with more than 50,000 veterinary practices worldwide, mixed up diagnoses, the proposed class action claims.

An algorithm that merged records of similarly named pets and other animals in a worldwide veterinary diagnostics platform led to many misdiagnoses, causing infectious disease outbreaks and deaths, a group of rescue organizations claim in a proposed class action.
