CoStar can’t force rival to provide more discovery over copyright claims

“CoStar’s request that CREXi provide a narrative response to an interrogatory requesting details on multiple discrete subpart topics regarding almost 50,000 images does not satisfy the proportionality requirements of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure,” wrote Suzanne H. Segal of Signature Resolution.

Commercial Real Estate Exchange Inc., also known as CREXi, will not be forced to draft narrative responses regarding almost 50,000 individual images for which CoStar Group Inc. claimed copyright infringement, a special master ruled.
