A putative class action against the makers of Stanley brand drinkware claimed Thursday that the company sold its highly popular tumblers knowing that they contained a risk of lead exposure.
The company stated on its website that there is no lead on any surface of the cups and said that if, in a rare occurrence, a case cap comes off and exposes a seal with lead, it falls under a lifetime replacement warranty.
