Judge to decide on pausing housing suit

Accused of enacting unconstitutional ordinances restricting homeless camps, the San Francisco city attorney’s office insisted that the scope of discovery would be drastically different if the Supreme Court’s decision shot down the plaintiff’s Eighth Amendment claim in this case.

A federal judge in Oakland will decide whether to pause a housing lawsuit against the City of San Francisco until the U.S. Supreme Court decides a similar case this summer.
