Hmong immigrants win default judgment against Laos

Attorney Herman Franck said the four plaintiffs are involved in a political movement whose goal is to create a “Hmong homeland” somewhere in the world. But he denied that this goal involves a violent plot against the government of Laos.

A group of Hmong immigrants won a default judgment against the government of Laos for what they said is a yearslong dirty tricks campaign designed to get them in trouble with American authorities.
