Judge asked to reconsider sanctions motion against USF lawyer

Community Initiatives accused the University of San Francisco’s attorney, Allen Gomes of Anderies & Gomes LLP, of “abusing the discovery process” by failing to adequately respond to 23 interrogatories.

An attorney for an education related nonprofit, Community Initiatives, asked a San Francisco judge on Wednesday not to dismiss a motion for discovery sanctions against an attorney for the University of San Francisco.

The case involves the university’s $2.7 million indemnification claim against the organization, the San Francisco Unified School District, and the Leland Stanford Junior University.
