Gun show promoters face hurdle in bid to use state venues

Gun shows have been banned at fairground in Orange and San Diego counties.

Promoters of gun shows at Del Mar Fairgrounds and the Orange County Fair & Event Center appeared to have trouble Wednesday persuading a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel that two California laws barring the sale of firearms, ammunition and precursor parts on the state-owned property are unconstitutional.
