Reelection bid of LA County judge cited for misconduct lags
Judge Emily T. Spear was dealt a setback after the LA Times endorsed her opponant.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Emily T. Spear, who was admonished by the Commission on Judicial Performance in September, appears to have fallen behind in her bid to retain her judicial seat which is being challenged by Los Angeles County Deputy Public Defender Kimberly Repecka.
The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder County Clerk election tally shows Repecka sitting on 51.45%, or 613,361 votes, ahead of Spear’s 48.55% (578,792 ...
