Judge orders special master to address conditions at women’s prison

U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers also granted class certification and a partial preliminary injunction against the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

A special master will be appointed to oversee conditions in a women's prison in the Bay Area as a U.S. judge overseeing a sexual abuse and retaliation lawsuit against the Federal Bureau of Prisons said inmates' constitutional rights were intentionally disregarded for many years.
