Judge unlikely to stay racial bias lawsuit against Tesla

Tesla’s attorneys argued that a state case should take place before the federal lawsuit proceeds.

A federal judge in San Francisco seemed disinclined to grant Tesla Inc.’s request on Thursday to stay racial discrimination claims brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, saying the federal government’s action and a related action by the California Civil Rights Department did not completely overlap.
