Civil trials for ‘Rust’ shooting set in 2025 to avoid conflict with Alec Baldwin trial

The plaintiffs, including script supervisor Mamie Mitchell and the Ukrainian family of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, have requested a trial date in summer or fall of 2025 to avoid conflict with Alec Baldwin’s criminal proceedings in New Mexico.

Court dates are being considered for next year in civil trials stemming from the 2021 shooting on the set of the film “Rust” for which Alec Baldwin faces trial on charges he killed one crewmember and injured another.
