Judiciary committee approves Sacramento judge for district court

The nomination of Dena M. Coggins, presiding judge of the Sacramento County juvenile court, was sent to the Senate floor on a 12-9 Judiciary Committee vote.

Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Dena M. Coggins won a key 12-9 vote Thursday when the Senate Judiciary Committee advanced her nomination for an upcoming vacancy on the Eastern District of California court.
