Sacramento pension system sues software provider

The county claims the botched implementation caused it to rely on its original legacy software system for several more years and bring in other companies to help it get the new system working.

Sacramento County’s pension system sued a management software provider for $18 million claiming breach of contract.

The county signed a deal in 2017 with a company then known as Morneau Shepell for a new platform to manage its pension benefit and actuarial data.
