San Diego attorney permanently banned from bankruptcy court

The attorney's problems surfaced when he failed to disclose property transfers and other transactions involving his clients and a company owned by his wife.

A San Diego County sole practitioner was permanently barred from representing clients in the Southern District of California's bankruptcy court, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

David L. Speckman of Speckman & Associates in Chula Vista agreed to never again represent clients in the bankruptcy court and will pay a fine of $3,500, putting an end to the complaint brought by the U.S. Trustee's San Diego office.
