Attorneys in Gascón recall effort granted reduced fee award

A tentative order by Judge James C. Chalfant on Tuesday awarded the attorneys a reduced fee award under the California Public Records Act following arguments by the county registrar that the initial requested amount was unreasonable.

A Los Angeles County judge tentatively granted fees to attorneys with Ellis George LLP, Dordulian Law Group and a sole practitioner for their representation of a committee that tried to recall District Attorney George Gascón in 2022.
