City of Hope faces lawsuit over data breach

The complaint alleges that the breach, which affected more than 800,000 patients, was the result of inadequate security measures.

Cancer research facility City of Hope National Medical Center faces a new class action in connection with a 2023 data breach that affected some 800,000 people. The complaint claims the breach was the result of unsound security practices and that impacted patients weren't notified until months later.
