Kennedy urges judges and attorneys to promote civility at 9th Circuit Judicial Conference

9th Circuit Chief Judge Mary H. Murguia said the court is working to update its case filing system with a new system, the Appellate Case Management System, which will be ready by the end of 2025.

SACRAMENTO -- On an evening that featured a heartfelt tribute to former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, who died last December, former Justice Anthony M. Kennedy told judges, attorneys and academics at the 9th Circuit Judicial Conference that they "have the duty to advance the cause of civility."
