Judge mulls venue for employee suit against FTI Consulting

On behalf of a former FTC Consulting employee, Cooley LLP filed a lawsuit accusing the company -- whose services are used by many law firms -- of enforcing anti-competitive provisions in the plaintiff's employment contract after he began working for a competitor.

A federal judge in San Francisco indicated on Wednesday that a former FTI Consulting employee's breach of contract lawsuit would remain in the district for the time being despite objections from the company's attorneys that the case was not based in California.
