Lassen County judge loses final appeal against removal

The state Supreme Court rejected without comment Tony R. Mallery's appeal of a Commission on Judicial Performance decision to remove him from the bench.

The California Supreme Court rejected a final appeal from a Lassen County judge, in a decision that made him ineligible to practice law, at least temporarily, and could affect his benefits after his removal from the bench by the Commission on Judicial Performance.

The court rejected Tony R. Mallery's appeal without comment on Wednesday. Mallery v. Commission on Judicial Performance, S286232 (Cal. S. Ct., filed July 31, 2024).
